Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience giving feedback and coaching instructors.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in course design and curriculum development, including instructional analysis and documentation of performance standards.
• Certification as a trainer of instructors and/or professional teacher training.
• Ability to perform both onsite and remote Quality Assurance activities.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to accept demand-based requests at the required frequency, including at least 80% of requests.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to read and write technical and user documentation.
• Experience supporting Quality Assurance activities across course delivery, instructor performance, and course design and development.
• Ability to successfully complete the QA Quality Focal Point Training.
• Ability to work with standardized QA processes, tools, and templates.
Desirable
• Previous experience as an NCI Academy instructor.
• Knowledge and experience of working with the NCI Agency.
• Knowledge and experience of working with the NCI Academy.
• NATO CIS Technical Instructor or equivalent qualification.
• NATO Systems Approach to Training or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of modern education technologies, including electronic whiteboards and training videos.
• Experience with authoring tools.
• Experience developing technical documentation, training materials, and instructional aids.
• Experience working in an international environment with military and civilian personnel.
• Experience supporting QMS certification or internal evaluation activities.
Duties & Role
• Support planned and demand-based Quality Assurance activities for the NCI Academy.
• Apply standardized QA processes, tools, and best practices across course delivery, instructor performance, and course design and development.
• Complete the QA Quality Focal Point Training and apply the required QA processes and tools.
• Prepare monitoring and assessment plans for assigned courses.
• Review course control documentation.
• Develop student intake and exit surveys.
• Conduct onsite or remote course observations.
• Capture and document observations, comparing course delivery against approved course control documentation.
• Conduct interviews with instructors and students regarding course conduct and delivery.
• Analyse quantitative data from surveys and observations.
• Produce QA Assessment Reports containing evidence-based findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor instructors in accordance with NATO instructor competency standards.
• Review lesson plans, presentations, course materials, and previous instructor feedback.
• Conduct instructor observations.
• Provide structured feedback to instructors, identifying strengths, improvement areas, and recommended actions.
• Provide individual instructor coaching where required.
• Support delivery of the CIS Technical Instructor Course (0970) and CIS Methods of Courseware Development Course (0971).
• Prepare and deliver instructional content.
• Prepare lessons and assess students.
• Provide student feedback.
• Update and refine courseware as part of the NCI Academy Continuous Improvement Process.
• Support Course Content Design and Development activities.
• Develop performance objectives and enabling objectives.
• Create assessment plans.
• Perform CCD-related updates, reviews, and improvements.
• Support NCI Academy QMS certification activities where required.
• Support internal evaluation activities, including evidence collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting.
• Support preparation, facilitation, and documentation of instructor workshops.
• Produce required QA reports, training materials, documentation, feedback records, and other agreed deliverables.
• Ensure outputs comply with NCI Academy QA standards, NATO instructor competency guidelines, QAG/NCI Agency templates, and applicable course design protocols.
• Coordinate the scheduling and execution of deliverables with the QAG Head or designated representative.
• Communicate task status, risks, constraints, and issues to the QAG Head or designated representative.
• Escalate critical issues as soon as they are identified.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security, confidentiality, data protection, documentation, and onsite working requirements.
